What rose as a wave during the pandemic is today a phenomenon that refuses to ebb - the popularity of online card games

Why are card games so popular? For many of us card games carry a sentimental value, reminding us of family get-togethers and playdates from once upon a time. Nostalgia is a strong emotion to ignore and card game developers are integrating facets into the apps keeping this very psycho-social aspect in mind. For the less emotional ones, card games are charming for the critical thinking they require, promising brain work, use of strategic thinking and as a study of human behavior (or poker faces, to be precise). You can play card games from where you are, when you want and with whomever you wish to.

Mobile game development companies sensed this love the moment physical casinos became unavailable, leading to an exponential rise in the demand for online card game apps since. This demand is increasingly being met by those who started their own online card game business. Are you looking to join the bandwagon?

10 Steps to Start Your Card Game Business

1. Begin With a Market Research

Market research is an essential step, as it helps you make informed decisions and minimizes risks in this competitive and crowded business. An in-depth research of the card gaming market entails studying the competitors as well as their audience. Learn about the prominent trends in the industry. Are the competitors using branding strategies that work for them? Who is the target audience? What do users prefer? What are the user demographics?

By the end of this research, you will have moulded your basic game plan and identified potential customers for your own online card game business.

2. Name the Game

What’s in a name? A lot! Keep in mind the plentitude of online card games and how the popular ones are based on similar concepts. If you want yours to stand-out from the crowd, the uniqueness of the name is a step in the right direction.

3. Choose a Card Game Development Company

A good game development company will play a crucial role when you are starting your own card game business. You will need high-quality game software and an experienced and reliable team throughout. While there are innumerable companies to pick from, these are some of the things that you can consider when making a choice:

 • Study the company’s portfolio and know about any recent projects which are similar to your game ideas. Read the client reviews!
 • Look for proficiency in the latest tools and technologies required for game development.
 • A stable and scalable platform that suits your game should be available.
 • Do they have an experienced UI UX design team?
 • Quality assurance with 24*7 customer support is a must.

Experience in making real money gaming apps goes a long way in ensuring a smooth and successful game development project, and game.

Look for a company that offers

 1. Secure payment options through gateways which support fiat and cryptocurrency transactions.
 2. Transparent accounting where users can view the complete purchase and in-game transactions, easy deposits and withdrawals.
 3. White label software, where each club has its own unique coin bank and design, and manages its own rake and users.

4. Build a Website for Your Business

Today, having a good website for your business is as much of a given as the sun rising in the East and setting in the West. A quality website which is easy to navigate, aesthetically done and true to your brand image generates trust among the players. Keep in mind that both mobile applications and websites should be compatible with all the available browsers and constantly updated and well-optimized to ensure faster loading speeds.

5. Find out about Gaming Licenses

Card games require licenses to operate and different jurisdictions have their own legislations pertaining to the card game business. Before launching your website and game, research the necessary gaming license required to operate your card game business in the jurisdiction where you plan to launch it. Government guidelines need to be followed to legalize your card game business.

6. Know all about Blockchain and NFTs

The fusion of blockchain technology and NFTs with traditional card games is changing the online gaming landscape forever. It is believed that in no time, crypto TCGs will dominate the online gaming landscape. Here’s how:

In traditional online card games, the players have no guarantee of the future value and security of digital cards stored in servers. With Crypto TCGs and NFT Authentication, players can truly own their digital cards as unique tokens on the blockchain. These tokens cannot be duplicated, and hence the value of rare cards increases. This leads to confidence in the long-term value of digital assets.

NFTs and blockchain technology allow cross-platform compatibility so players can easily transfer and use their digital cards across platforms and games. This seamlessness allows players to explore new games and yet preserve the value of their digital assets.

Traditional online card games are centralized hence open to hacking and data breaches. Blockchain technology offers a solution by decentralizing data storage and transaction validation, securing the system against fraud and safeguarding the digital assets of the players.

NFT marketplaces create a secure and transparent trading atmosphere to facilitate trading, selling or buying of digital cards, thus enabling players to monetize their card collections.

7. Ensure a Reliable Payment Gateway Provider

Think about this - the reputation of your business rests on the payment gateway provider. Your card game business needs to steer clear of any fraud. A trusted and reputed provider will offer secure payment, a multi-currency support system, and efficient fraud detection.

8. Brand Your Business

Solid branding need not be expensive, but it does ask for a lot of creativity and research. An effective marketing strategy boosts business success. Developing a team for your online card game business which will help enhance your brand awareness is a good idea.

9. Check the formalities

If you’re here, you’re likely ready to hit the market! The final checklist will include essential aspects for legalization of your card game business, like liability protection, tax benefits, and legal and trademark formalities.

10. Post-launch

Once you launch the card game business, you will need post-launch services and support. The card game development company you chose at step 3 should offer maintenance and support, and help grow your online card game business.

Starting a business, any business, involves planning, making key financial decisions, and completing a series of legal activities. It also requires funds and patience, in equal volumes. Remember, it all begins with a good idea. And once you have a card game app that stands out in the market as a highly creative and cost-efficient solution, with the social and viral aspects fully covered, you are more than ready for this buzzing industry.

Endless Runner Games – Core Mechanics and Top Titles https://logicsimplified.com/newgames/endless-runner-games-core-mechanics-and-top-titles/ Wed, 27 Nov 2024 06:38:19 +0000 https://logicsimplified.com/newgames/?p=9635 ]]>

Subway Surfers was the most popular game for three consecutive years, with 218 million downloads in 2023, 304 million in 2022, and 191 million in 2021. (Source: Business of Apps)

Subway Surfers, an endless runner game, was released by Kiloo Games and SYBO studio in May 2012. It is an action-packed game with colorful graphics, intuitive swipe controls, top-notch sound effects, different themes and characters, and challenges. The features were reason enough for the wide popularity of the game shortly after its release.

What is an Endless Runner Game?

Endless Runner Games or Infinite Runner Games is a game genre with one continuous level with no pauses, no levels, and no end. The level of difficulty starts easy and slow. As the game speeds up, the character’s pace also keeps increasing with obstacles approaching on the way. The player’s objective is to survive for as long as possible to reach a high score.

Core Mechanics of an Endless Runner Game

Game mechanics make a video game engaging and challenging for players. They are used in a way to differentiate a game from others and make it stand out. The core mechanics involved in an Endless Runner Game include -

Player Actions

The player interacts in an endless runner game by jumping, sliding, or shifting sideways to avoid obstacles. There are no levels and no finish lines so the player has no option of taking a break. The game is continuous and involves the player to stay focused to avoid mistakes and crashing into something.

Game Goals

As the name suggests, the goal of the game is that the player has to run endlessly for as long as they can avoid the obstacles and survive in the game. The player has to obtain the highest score possible and that indicates the player's achievement.

Points & Rewards

Endless runner games offer points for distance traveled, collectibles gathered, and surviving the game longer. Various rewards can also be offered, including coins or soft cash, that the players can use to unlock new characters, avatars, and attributes. Some games reward players with lives or currency boosts for watching ads.

Level Design

ER games have just one level that never ends. This type of level designing involves procedural generation where reusable tiles (including power-ups, obstacles, and aesthetic features) are randomly assembled. This is integrated in a way that it creates a balance between randomness and structure, making each run feel new and unpredictable.

Obstacles

In an Endless Runner game, obstacles determine the player’s behavior as to whether the player must jump over, slide beneath, or leap left or right in response to a barrier. These simple movements at the right time are required to move ahead in the game.

In this game, Mario can get power-ups and coins, jump on enemies, and run through a platform-style world with just a few taps. One of the best things about this game is that Super Mario Run is a totally addictive game. The goal of the game is to run and jump to collect 3 different types of colored coins until you reach the castle to save Princess Peach from Bowser’s clutches. There are 24 exciting courses to reach Princess Peach.

VR and AR in Learning – Benefits & Examples https://logicsimplified.com/newgames/vr-and-ar-in-learning-benefits-examples/ Thu, 24 Oct 2024 07:42:05 +0000 https://logicsimplified.com/newgames/?p=9582 ]]> For ages, humans have attempted different ways of learning that have been simple and involve no technology. Evidence from the past shows that people acquired knowledge through observing, engaging in apprenticeships, experimenting, and receiving oral instruction well before formal educational systems were established. Today, AR and VR back learning and development with immersive learning (AR and VR-powered). These technologies offer a more individualized and flexible approach to every learner.

Benefits of AR and VR in Learning and Development

Let’s begin with some interesting stats of AR/VR in classrooms:

AR VR in Users Stats

As per Fortune Business Insights, the size of the global virtual reality in education market is projected to reach USD 13,098.2 million by 2026.

Tech Informed reports that in the US, 54% of teachers and 41% of parents want more use of augmented and virtual reality solutions in the classroom.

Augmented reality is a technology that enhances a real-life environment by adding digital elements to a live view, whereas Virtual reality replaces a real-life environment with a simulated 3-dimensional environment. The workings of these two technologies lead to a stimulating, interactive, and engaging digital experience.

AR and VR engage a user’s senses through both auditory and reading/writing learning styles, as well as visual and kinetic. This adds new elements to the traditional curriculum. Over time, educators are looking for new ways to integrate digital solutions into learning.

1. Increased Student Engagement

Augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies can increase student engagement and learning outcomes with the interactive nature of immersive learning. With AR and VR, students can explore and interact with objects in a way that would not be possible in the physical world. Learners can explore virtual environments and interact with content, making learning more engaging and impactful.

2. Comprehensive Understanding of Complex concepts

Virtual reality learning allows for a more nuanced exploration of complex topics, helping students to grasp intricate details through experiential learning. Students can learn through virtual field trips or exploring the world's wonders. Students can solve realistic problems in simulated environments and transfer that learning to the real world.

3. Develop spatial intelligence

Spatial intelligence is a fundamental skill for creating and remembering visual images. Individuals with strong spatial intelligence skills often perform well in STEM fields. This is significant for students with disabilities as well, as the use of augmented reality and virtual reality can assist these students in enhancing their spatial intelligence abilities.

4. Enhanced Knowledge Retention

The human brain processes images around 60,000 times faster than text—it takes only 13 milliseconds for the human brain to process an image, and 90% of information transmitted to the brain is visual. (Source: MedTech Intelligence)

The added advantage to the picture superiority effect is interactivity and 3D-view which makes the learning environments all the more impactful and helps students retain information better. Learning through pictures is more effective than text because the human brain processes visual information faster and better than text.

5. Safe Learning Environment

VR can be used to simulate dangerous experiments in a controlled setting, reducing the risk of spills, mishaps, or exposure to hazardous materials. It also helps motivate learners, keeps them engaged, and improves the overall effectiveness of safety training.

6. Easy Accessibility

AR can be used to create collaborative learning experiences because learners can stay connected to their physical surroundings. VR, on the other hand, uses virtual worlds and simulations to allow students to explore and interact with real-world environments that would not be possible otherwise.

Best VR and AR Gadgets that Support Learning

Virtual Reality uses a headset to place you in a computer-generated world while Augmented reality uses either a clear visor or smartphone to layer digital images on the real world around you.

Virtual reality headsets use head tracking as a technology that gives the users a 360-degree view of their environment by physically moving their heads. There are two types of VR devices - one, where the headset has an in-built screen that offers great quality graphics like the Oculus Rift and the PlayStation VR. They also come with handheld controllers to track hand movements. The other type of headset uses your phone’s screen as a display and runs completely from your smartphone apps. For instance the Google Cardboard and the Gear VR.

Augmented Reality can be used on devices like smartphones and laptops without the headset and then there are AR headsets that offer features like hand tracking, eye tracking, and spatial mapping with high-quality visuals and spatial audio. For instance the Microsoft HoloLens 2 and the Magic Leap 1.

Interactive Learning and virtual classrooms add interactive elements to traditional learning methods and allow students to explore and interact with 3D models and simulations in a shared digital space.

5 Best Examples of AR and VR in Education

Using Cascadeur for Creating 3D Character Animations https://logicsimplified.com/newgames/using-cascadeur-for-creating-3d-character-animations/ Tue, 08 Oct 2024 05:01:36 +0000 https://logicsimplified.com/newgames/?p=9575 ]]> As an animator at Logic Simplified, with nearly a decade of experience, I've had the chance to work with a wide range of animation software. Each one, from Autodesk Max and Maya to Blender and Spine 2D animation, has carved out its own niche in my workflow, contributing something unique and valuable. About a year and a half ago, I stumbled across a YouTube video that introduced me to a new player in the animation software game— Cascadeur

I had no idea then that this discovery would completely transform how I approach animation.

The First Encounter

Cascadeur is a standalone 3D software that lets you create keyframe animation, as well as clean up and edit any imported ones. Thanks to its AI-assisted and physics tools you can dramatically speed up the animation process and get high quality results.

Let me confess. The first time I saw Cascadeur in action, I was hooked. The workflow looked incredibly intuitive, almost as if it had been tailor-made for animators like me. At that point, Cascadeur was still in its beta phase, but I was so impressed by what I saw and curious to learn more that I immediately applied and was accepted into the beta program. Today, with Cascadeur fully launched, I’m thrilled to have received a 2-year indie license as a reward for my early participation.

Why Cascadeur Stands Out

After spending a significant amount of time exploring Cascadeur, I can say that it has redefined how simply and smoothly an animation can be created. The simplicity of the process is hard to miss! Here are some of the standout features that make Cascadeur a game-changer, not just for veterans like me, but also for aspiring animators:

1. Intuitive physics-based animation

Cascadeur brings physics-based animation into the mix, which makes creating realistic motion much easier. The software's AI-assisted tools predict natural movements, helping animators achieve lifelike results without needing to tweak every frame manually.

2. Auto-posing and auto-physics

Cascadeur’s auto-posing and auto-physics features are real time-savers. They allow you to set key poses, and Cascadeur takes care of the in-betweens, ensuring smooth transitions and consistent physics throughout the animation.

3. Ballistic curve

The ballistic curve feature is especially handy for animating projectiles. It lets you visualize an object’s trajectory, making sure your motion paths are both accurate and true to the laws of physics.

4. Fulcrum points

The fulcrum points feature is a huge help when animating complex movements. By defining pivot points, you can create more dynamic and natural animations, especially when characters or objects interact intricately with their environment.

5. Physics ghost

Physics Ghost is another innovative tool Cascadeur offers. It shows a visual representation of an object's previous positions, helping you refine the motion over time. This is particularly useful for fine-tuning animations to achieve the desired fluidity and realism.

6. Different rig control modes

Cascadeur offers multiple rig control modes, providing the flexibility to animate characters with precision. Some of my favorites are:

 • Auto Posing Mode: Automatically adjusts poses for natural movement.
 • Point Controller Mode: Allows precise control over specific points on the rig.
 • Box Controller Mode: Provides broader control over larger sections of the rig.
 • Joint Mode: Offers detailed manipulation of individual joints for fine-tuned adjustments.

7. User-friendly interface

Cascadeur’s interface is incredibly intuitive, making it accessible for animators of all skill levels. While the learning curve is gentle, the software doesn't skimp on advanced features, striking a perfect balance between simplicity and power.

8. Rigging made easy

Rigging, which can often be a tedious process, is streamlined in Cascadeur. The software provides powerful rigging tools that allow for quick and efficient setup, freeing you up to focus more on the creative aspects of animation.

How Much Does It Cost To Develop a 2D Online Teen Patti Mobile Game App? https://logicsimplified.com/newgames/how-much-does-it-cost-to-develop-a-2d-online-teen-patti-mobile-game-app/ Mon, 30 Sep 2024 04:41:08 +0000 https://logicsimplified.com/newgames/?p=6273 ]]> This post was originally published on [22-06-2021] and has been updated on [30-09-2024] to reflect new information and insights.

Smartphones are as much a tool for entertainment as they are for communication, and mobile games rule the roost for keeping users entertained. This is a win-win for both players as well as game app developers, because good game apps are forever in demand.

One of the online card games that has drawn the attention of gaming enthusiasts is online Teen Patti - a most popular and enjoyable card game. Card game developers around the world are leveraging the popularity of and finding innovative variations to create a teen patti game app, along with other classic card games.

As a leading mobile 3D game development company, Logic Simplified receives countless queries requesting information on building game applications, the most popular one being, how much does it cost to make a game, like an online 2D Teen Patti mobile game, including how much does it cost to hire a game developer. While there is no fixed price in developing an online 2D Teen Patti app, there is a process of calculating Teen Patti 2D games cost, circling around the requirements of the game, size, design complexity, and the features that are to be included.

2D Teen Patti Mobile Game Development Cost Factors

Before developing a successful game, you need to figure out who your target audience is and which platform will best serve them. Apart from this, you need to determine the cost of creating a game. The essential factors that must be considered for developing a game, because they affect the cost of Teen Patti games, are as follows.

Platforms

Once you decide to develop an app, it is vital to figure out whether you want to create it on the Android or iOS platform. The platform you choose should be decided by factors like device fragmentation, market penetration and share, and the device trends among your target audience. Both iOS and Android platforms are different as they require SDKs (Software Development Kits), frameworks, libraries, and leverage various game development tools. If you want your app to work on both platforms, you will have to go for native development on both portals, which will double your costs. However, to minimize your costs, there is one solution to that. If you want to create apps using both platforms, hybrid or cross-platform apps are the way to go. Hybrid apps save money by building one app that too for all required platforms.

Multiple themes

To capture the interest of the gamers with so many games to choose from is not easy. Every game has a theme because it makes the game exciting and engaging. It is the most important factor, and it goes beyond appearance. Players enjoy varied settings to play in. Through a variety of themes, they can live through their desires and enjoy being in settings of their choice. From unique city casino themes to cruise casinos and private casinos for high bidders - multiple such themes can be used to attract players to join in and continue to play for longer durations.

Flow and Gameplay

Another crucial factor when developing the game is flow and gameplay. You must take into consideration the flow of the game if you want to create a player’s engagement. When players enter into a flow of mental state, they are generally in an environment where the different levels of challenges match the player’s skills. Rewards, losing track of time, clear objectives, etc., are some of the elements that may affect and influence the flow of the game. Along with this, a crucial element is an interactivity amongst different players. There is no fun in playing with other players if you cannot interact with them. It gives them the feeling as if they are playing with a computer. Adding in-game chat and messaging features makes the e-gaming experience feel alive.

Real-Time Multiplayer Games

A real-time multiplayer game is designed to allow more than 2 players to play a single game while connected to the internet. Always a code system is created for a specific game that is confined to ‘n’ number of the players. To begin the game, one player will log in to the app, whereas others will enter the room using the shared code. The game begins once all players enter the game. When developing a multiplayer game, both the peer-to-peer model and the client-server model are used.

In the peer-to-peer game application model, the players are in command of the game. The game is made possible by their response and actions. On the other hand, in the client-server model, the main communication is played by the client-server. It is the server that acts as the hub for all the users. Usually, you should follow the client-server approach as it is much more stable and is far more secure than peer-to-peer networks. The advancement in technology made it possible to build multiplayer games with more amazing quality because of better network speeds and more capable devices.

Design Layout

The design layout is an important factor to attract the intended audience. When developing an app, UI UX designers ensure that the user interface is appealing as well as intuitive. User interface design involves making something look a certain way or having a certain style while keeping a strong functionality. The UI design focuses on using aesthetically pleasing design elements to connect your users to your game app. It also gives the user clear directions on navigating your site and searching through each page of information.

Thanks to UI design, which clearly displays relevant call-to-action so that decisions are simple and easy. It consists of all of the buttons of navigation alongside interactive lists, icons, fonts, etc. It is important to have a user interface design that is appealing, visually stimulating and themed appropriately to match the app’s purpose. The design stage might include creating wireframes, putting together mood boards, and sketching out numerous ideas for how the interface will look.

Use of advanced technology

Time was often a constraint in traditional casinos. They opened late, and players were allowed to play at odd hours of the night. Both the players and the casino did not have the luxury of choosing when to open or play. Now that technology has helped with the evolution of Teen Patti, people can play online 24/7 from anywhere in the world. For instance, you can now play Teen Patti games without any need to travel from your house to your friend’s house and chat with them easily from the comfort of your home, as all the action happens online.

Also, technology has aided in making the internet a safe place for online transactions. You must incorporate various payment gateways options in your app, so users can easily make transactions without any hesitation. The app should provide different payment options to make sure that the users feel comfortable and secure when making transactions. Though debit and credit cards are the popular method of depositing, there are other ways that players can use without revealing their banking information. An example would be the use of digital wallets and cryptocurrencies. So, in the ever-changing world of technology, it is vital for developers to choose the tech trend that eventually keeps players hooked to the screen.

Post Development Expenses of Teen Patti app

Game Testing

In mobile game applications, the testing process is as crucial as development. It is a part of the game development process which guarantees optimal performance as well as quality in the end product. When it comes to testing, the basic view is that flaws and bugs are identified as well as documented and fix any software defects that might hamper the overall experience. This guarantees that the final product is of the highest quality and functions at its best throughout the game. There are a variety of types of testing like regression, system performance, function, and many more to assure that no defects make it to the final stage.

Game Marketing

Having a fantastic game idea as well as developing it is a huge accomplishment. But, no matter how terrific your game is, it will not be successful without any marketing aid. Furthermore, it is also essential to have a strong game marketing strategy to cope with competition and reach the target audience. It is vital to set aside a marketing budget for your game to increase the game’s visibility. Below are some of the marketing activities you should consider:

Social media: As social networking is so popular among individuals all over the world, gaining an initial base of potential users for your app becomes quite simple. Promoting your game app with the help of social networking entails integrating the game with sites like Facebook, Instagram, etc.

Advertising: Displaying advertisements on various advertising platforms also helps to attract targeted audiences. You can also provide a link so that the user can visit to know more about your game.

Press release: Another way to market your app is through press release distribution. Just like with every other article, you want to ace this one. The headline should describe what your article is all about. It must include complete information, the main theme, launching date and unique features of your Teen Patti game.

How much does it cost to create a 2D or 3D Teen Patti game app?

As the Teen Patti online mobile app involves many distinct elements, the ultimate price will vary based on those factors such as design, features, region, functionalities, UI/UX design, etc. On an average, the 2D game can cost between $10,000 - $30,000, and the 3D between $20,000 to $60,000, but remember the cost might vary according to the features.

Level Design: Crafting Engaging Environments for Your Game https://logicsimplified.com/newgames/level-design-crafting-engaging-environments-for-your-game/ Tue, 24 Sep 2024 04:54:53 +0000 https://logicsimplified.com/newgames/?p=9555 ]]>

Let’s begin by understanding the concept of levels in a video game. What drives a video game, and what factors control its engagement?

We know progress means advancing towards a goal through different levels. In a game, new motives, challenges, and concepts are added to the game world, while ensuring they increase the degree of difficulty at every level. Every game clearly states a goal and completion of every level brings the player closer to achieving it. This sense of putting a player's abilities to use against a difficult situation in a game (challenge), and rewarding their potential for every challenge they overcome and every progress they make in the game (achievement), makes a player want to play.

What is Level Design?

Level design is a part of video game design that focuses specifically on designing game levels (an area or stage a player must complete before moving on to the next one) while keeping in mind the architecture, layout, video game mechanics, and pace to keep the players invested in the game. It is about creating a visually appealing environment while ensuring the player’s experience is engaging and immersive. Even so, different types of video game-level designs, such as shooter-level design, platformer-level design, puzzle-level design, multiplayer-level design, etc. require a unique approach. The two most common approaches to game level design are room design and world design.

Room Design is usually designing a small sequence while being extremely strategic about crafting the entry, exit, traps, and challenges so that the players move around in an expected and controlled manner.

World Design is about creating realistic spaces by relying on general systems and reusing pre-made elements. This approach is usually integrated into games with lots of space and lets players drive the narrative of the game.

Process of Level Designing and Game Development

1. Pre-production phase

It includes conceptualizing ideas and creating a design document (blueprint) that defines the game mechanics, structure, objectives, and more. A game design document plays a crucial role in collating data from studying the players’ preferences, demographics, etc, and planning and creating a game that keeps them hooked.

2. Prototyping

This stage involves prototyping different ideas including level layout design, character design, gameplay elements and mechanics, and other core concepts, before finalizing them for the cemented stage of the game production process.

3. Game Environment Design

Game engines like Unity offer intuitive tools that are used to create spatial layouts with intricate details and dynamic lighting systems. The assets and textures add to the visual appeal while the intricate details like the hills, mountains, roads, and the sprawling landscape guide the player’s movement and focus in a game.

4. Level Building

Level Building is the phase of the process where stages, maps, and missions of the game are created, keeping in mind interactive situations or events that challenge the player and keep them engaged.

5. Scripting

Level designers use scripting tools to program certain game behaviors and rules in a level. Objectives, triggers, gates, and game objects are the most common visual scripting examples that allow video game developers to create dynamic interactions between the player, NPCs, and the environment.

6. Polishing and Optimization

This stage is where every big and small detail, from gameplay mechanics to visual aesthetics, is refined and fine-tuned for a seamless experience without any technical distractions.

7. Playtesting

Playtesting involves testing a game with real players to assess its design, functionality, and entertainment value. It is a crucial aspect of game development that can help in pinpointing and resolving issues, enhancing the overall quality of the game and increasing your chances of success.

Principles of Level Design

The practice of planning and building maps, stages, and missions is extremely important in a video game. A well-crafted environment with interactive events in the game environment at different points challenges the players at many levels, keeps them engaged, and enhances the overall playing experience. The design principles that every video game level designer follows while creating game levels are listed below.

1. Know your target audience and understand their preferences and expectations.

Different players have different requirements and once you decide on your target audience, you can accordingly design the levels that match their play styles.

2. Establish a gameplay loop for your game.

Defining a core gameplay loop at the beginning of the designing process helps designers create a primary flow for their game and further design levels in sync with the loop. This allows players to set certain expectations, enhancing their experience and avoiding elements that may confuse or distract them.

3. Make use of visual language and cues in a game.

Integration of visual language and cues cards in game levels help communicate with the players, narrate the story, and guide the players in a game by providing important information. They help the players understand the storyline, rules and goals of the game.

4. Create the right balance of challenge and reward throughout the game.

Challenge and reward are two elements that influence the motivation, engagement, and satisfaction of a player. A balance between the two ensures that the player feels motivated when progression is at a low, engaged throughout the game, and satisfied at the end of every level.

5. Define the gameplay mechanics.

Game mechanics include the rules, elements, systems, and processes that compose a game which means the player's objectives, rewards, character interactions, level design, and more. All details, from the jump of a main character to a bullet fired in the direction of an enemy, are examples of game mechanics. These are core components of any game and define how the game works and what actions lead to progress or failure.

6. Define clear progression goals

It is important to strategically use level design to enhance the player experience and create a sense of progression. Integrating new challenges, rewarding players, and increasing complexity helps create a sense of progression in players which keeps them invested in the game.

Extended Reality for Employees and Consumers

Training or imparting education to employees in virtual environments is a transformative turn in the domain and is also cost-effective for businesses. Extended Reality technology has made it easy, quick, and cheap for organizations to transfer information or data to employees and experts. If need be, it can also remotely connect an expert with a real-time issue for immediate advice and attention. This helps in avoiding redundant slowdowns and strengthens the customer experience.

Customers expect brands to promptly take care of their needs and any queries they may have. And certainly, digital media and tools have given them the power to make or break the online reputation of a brand. When one brand offers a great customer experience, they raise the bar of quality service and so the same is expected from other businesses. Customer experience can be amplified by leveraging technology to create efficient products, streamline processes, maintain data flow, manage contacts, and make interactions faster. Extended Reality here, helps you build customer-centric strategies that are relevant, responsive, and pragmatic. AR and VR offer customers a dynamic experience and enrich their overall experience, something they wouldn’t want to miss.

Extended Reality in Healthcare

VR technology is contributing to healthcare via different domains, like pharmaceutical development, physiotherapy, mental well-being, and others. This is streamlining medical procedures and improving patient care. Surgeons can now view organ complexities in 3D which helps them carefully plan every step of surgery ensuring the medical procedure is safe. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that like any other industry, XR is revolutionizing the health and medical industry as well.

Extended Reality in Marketing

Content creation, content storage, content analysis, sales communication, and certain SEO and game marketing strategies are metrics that optimize marketing enablement. And, Extended Reality technology reorients the mechanics involved in optimizing marketing and sales. Reality Technology can be used to create interactive campaigns for customers, showcase products that can be experienced before making a purchase, and offer the customers a virtual experience of service before a real one with AR-powered applications.

The “try before you buy” sales model that is very popular among big brands uses this marketing strategy through XR which lets the user try on products and services at home before they buy them. Some businesses offer a 360-degree video with hotspots to experience the brand and its services. The marketing strategies that businesses can execute nowadays are innovative, advanced, and intelligent, all thanks to Extended Reality.

Extended Reality in Manufacturing

While laying out the use cases of XR in manufacturing, it becomes necessary to begin the list with the exceptional training strategies that XR has to offer. The training opportunities with Extended reality enable a trainee to develop skills with step-by-step digital instructions inclusive of real-world equipment. This reduces the training cost, ensures efficient training processes, and offers a safe training environment. Manufacturers have built educational platforms with a library of custom interactive training scenarios.

Other than that, it provides real-time collaboration between manufacturers, teams, technicians, and others. This efficient partnering increases productivity and reduces downtime. The quality of products and services also improves and the time between the product design and its commercial manufacturing decreases.

The future prospects of Extended Reality are unimaginable and leveraging this technology to its maximum potential can require unstinting effort and expertise. Logic Simplified is a 12+ years old game development company that uses fundamental technologies like AI, ML, and 3D graphics, to build a metaverse that is transformational for entertainment and the enterprise. We have assisted over 100 businesses globally, with our expertise in gaming and emerging technology solutions. Shopify is a trustworthy platform for eCommerce stores that deal with massive data and sensitive customer information like personal and credit card details. It ensures fast and secure website performance, with no downtime. Shopify companies offer software, hosting, and integrations with third-party apps to help customers set up and run their online stores. Shopify also accommodates possible traffic spikes that your store might receive, making it faster and more secure.

What to Certainly Do When Building a Shopify App

1. Build a minimum viable product (MVP)

An MVP is an effective way for businesses to test whether a product is likely to succeed or not. It is a more dependable method of gathering customer information than simply asking for their opinion of a hypothetical product. It has become a commonly used tool for startups today as it allows companies to allocate resources to ideas that advance business objectives. MVPs also provide insights into which ideas aren't worth pursuing. Getting your product in front of real users quickly through MVPs can potentially establish a competitive edge for your company in the market.

2. Test your app before the production stage

Testing your Shopify app before it goes into the production stage helps ensure that it is error-free and works as intended. Shopify also has its own staging site that you can use to test your app in a secure environment without negatively impacting your customers or damaging your reputation. It also has a test mode to examine how customers pay for orders and how those orders are processed further.

3. Get your code reviewed and approved by a professional app tester

Shopify apps are reviewed by Shopify to ensure that they meet quality and safety requirements. Shopify may perform additional testing beyond Shopify integration to ensure that the app is of high quality, secure, and offers an excellent user experience. To avoid delays in Shopify's app submission process, developers can conduct their own comprehensive testing and quality assurance. This can help guarantee that merchants do not face any issues when installing the app.

4. Separate staging and production

It is essential to separate staging and production in Shopify app development to allow developers to experiment with new apps, themes, and custom code without impacting the live production site. A Shopify staging site, also known as a development site, is a separate yet identical version of a Shopify production site that only the development team can access. Developers can use staging sites to test changes to the site before making them live. If the changes do not work out, the production site remains unaffected.

Red Flags: What Not to Do When Building a Shopify App

1. Don't create a Private app

Private apps have certain limitations, such as the inability to embed them into the Shopify Admin panel, and requiring you to create all the code yourself for sharing them with multiple stores. Hence, Shopify deprecated private apps in January 2022 and suggests developing custom apps instead. Custom apps have the same features as private apps but with better security. They are designed for a single Shopify store and do not need to be listed on the Shopify App Store. Custom apps can be used to add features to the Shopify admin, access store data, and integrate with the Storefront API.

2. Don't use Shopify's APIs

Using Shopify's APIs does not give you ownership of the APIs or the content you access through them. The REST Admin API of Shopify has a limit of 40 requests per app, per store, and per minute. If you exceed this limit, the API will return a 429 error of Too Many Requests. Irrespective of how much data is returned, each request counts equally. The default API call limit for regular stores is 40 and 80 for Shopify Plus stores. However, Shopify Plus stores have a 500% increase in the API call limit for the Matrixify app, while regular Shopify stores have a 300% increase.

3. Don't Use Fake Review Apps

Customers often rely on reviews to make informed purchasing decisions, whether they are online or in-store, since they may not always have the opportunity to interact with you directly. In addition, online reviews are usually helpful in answering potential buyers' pressing questions about a product. It's important to improve the review ecosystem by avoiding the use of fake review apps. If you encounter an app that enables you to create or fake your own data, don't trust it! It's not reliable and customers can usually detect it. Customers are smart, and you want them to have trust in you, so use genuine data and display genuine reviews. Another thing to keep in mind is that Shopify may shut down your store if you use deceitful tactics that violate their terms of service.

4. Don't process payments outside of Shopify's checkout

If you choose to use third-party checkouts, Shopify cannot guarantee the security of your orders. Additionally, any orders that are not financially brokered by Shopify will be subject to third-party transaction fees unless you activate Shopify Payments. This includes orders processed through Shopify's checkout system.

WordPress is a monolithic content management system that strengthens millions of websites. It is one of the most popular and widely used CMS that develops user-friendly and competitive websites.

Top WordPress Trends - The Five Pillars to a Strong Online Presence

Whether you want to build a blogging site, business website, or a highly complex eCommerce website, WordPress is the go-to option to fulfill all your needs. It not only offers amazing features and advantages but also the flexibility to extend the functionality to make an extremely advanced website. The top WordPress trends that hold enormous potential in 2024, as seen through our critical lens, are listed below.

1. Drag-and-drop Page Builders

WordPress page builders make it easy to create professional-looking pages quickly. They come with customizable templates, user-friendly tools, pre-built designs, animation effects, and content resizing and repositioning features. Most page builders offer real-time editing with a simple drag-and-drop interface, so even users without technical skills can create beautiful websites and landing pages. WordPress also has pre-built modules and templates that offer flexibility and customizable themes. Its built-in functions are accessible directly from the interface. Some popular WordPress page builders include Beave Builder, Divi Builder, and WPBakery Page Builder.

2. Headless CMS

A content management system without a presentation layer is called a headless CMS. This system separates the backend, where content is managed, from the frontend, where content is presented. A headless CMS enables you to manage content from one central location and deploy it on any digital platform of your choice. This separation of the frontend and backend frees up your content, making it easier for marketers to manage content independently and for developers to quickly build, automate changes, and manage digital media at scale. With a headless CMS, you can reuse content and create modern digital experiences with ease.
