Having an online store provides unparalleled accessibility for the customers. The customers have the flexibility to browse and make purchases from the comfort of their homes or using mobile devices on the go. This convenience promotes a positive shopping experience that leads to customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Shopify is one of the largest ecommerce platforms in the world that can be used by start-ups and leading enterprise businesses to start, manage, and grow online, in-store, and everywhere in between, with its range of services. Some of the biggest brands in ecommerce, including Ford Motors, Budweiser SKIMS, Pepsico Steve Madden Jeffree Star Cosmetics, KKW Beauty, Netflix and Uri Minkoff/Rebecca Minkoff, choose Shopify for their website templates, tools to sell products online, integrated technology for payment processing, and marketing tools to power their stores.

Shopify is a trustworthy platform for eCommerce stores that deal with massive data and sensitive customer information like personal and credit card details. It ensures fast and secure website performance, with no downtime. Shopify companies offer software, hosting, and integrations with third-party apps to help customers set up and run their online stores. Shopify also accommodates possible traffic spikes that your store might receive, making it faster and more secure.

What to Certainly Do When Building a Shopify App

1. Build a minimum viable product (MVP)

An MVP is an effective way for businesses to test whether a product is likely to succeed or not. It is a more dependable method of gathering customer information than simply asking for their opinion of a hypothetical product. It has become a commonly used tool for startups today as it allows companies to allocate resources to ideas that advance business objectives. MVPs also provide insights into which ideas aren't worth pursuing. Getting your product in front of real users quickly through MVPs can potentially establish a competitive edge for your company in the market.

2. Test your app before the production stage

Testing your Shopify app before it goes into the production stage helps ensure that it is error-free and works as intended. Shopify also has its own staging site that you can use to test your app in a secure environment without negatively impacting your customers or damaging your reputation. It also has a test mode to examine how customers pay for orders and how those orders are processed further.

3. Get your code reviewed and approved by a professional app tester

Shopify apps are reviewed by Shopify to ensure that they meet quality and safety requirements. Shopify may perform additional testing beyond Shopify integration to ensure that the app is of high quality, secure, and offers an excellent user experience. To avoid delays in Shopify's app submission process, developers can conduct their own comprehensive testing and quality assurance. This can help guarantee that merchants do not face any issues when installing the app.

4. Separate staging and production

It is essential to separate staging and production in Shopify app development to allow developers to experiment with new apps, themes, and custom code without impacting the live production site. A Shopify staging site, also known as a development site, is a separate yet identical version of a Shopify production site that only the development team can access. Developers can use staging sites to test changes to the site before making them live. If the changes do not work out, the production site remains unaffected.

Red Flags: What Not to Do When Building a Shopify App

1. Don't create a Private app

Private apps have certain limitations, such as the inability to embed them into the  Shopify Admin panel, and requiring you to create all the code yourself for sharing them with multiple stores. Hence, Shopify deprecated private apps in January 2022 and suggests developing custom apps instead. Custom apps have the same features as private apps but with better security. They are designed for a single Shopify store and do not need to be listed on the Shopify App Store. Custom apps can be used to add features to the Shopify admin, access store data, and integrate with the Storefront API.

2. Don't use Shopify's APIs

Using Shopify's APIs does not give you ownership of the APIs or the content you access through them. The REST Admin API of Shopify has a limit of 40 requests per app, per store, and per minute. If you exceed this limit, the API will return a 429 error of Too Many Requests. Irrespective of how much data is returned, each request counts equally. The default API call limit for regular stores is 40 and 80 for Shopify Plus stores. However, Shopify Plus stores have a 500% increase in the API call limit for the Matrixify app, while regular Shopify stores have a 300% increase.

3. Don't Use Fake Review Apps

Customers often rely on reviews to make informed purchasing decisions, whether they are online or in-store, since they may not always have the opportunity to interact with you directly. In addition, online reviews are usually helpful in answering potential buyers' pressing questions about a product. It's important to improve the review ecosystem by avoiding the use of fake review apps. If you encounter an app that enables you to create or fake your own data, don't trust it! It's not reliable and customers can usually detect it. Customers are smart, and you want them to have trust in you, so use genuine data and display genuine reviews. Another thing to keep in mind is that Shopify may shut down your store if you use deceitful tactics that violate their terms of service.

4. Don't process payments outside of Shopify's checkout

If you choose to use third-party checkouts, Shopify cannot guarantee the security of your orders. Additionally, any orders that are not financially brokered by Shopify will be subject to third-party transaction fees unless you activate Shopify Payments. This includes orders processed through Shopify's checkout system.

Top WordPress Trends to Watch in 2024 https://logicsimplified.com/newgames/top-wordpress-trends-to-watch-in-2024/ Tue, 13 Aug 2024 05:35:34 +0000 https://logicsimplified.com/newgames/?p=9492 ]]>

Around 1/3rd (33.72%) of the top 1 million sites in the world use WordPress.

(Source: AppMySite

WordPress is a monolithic content management system that strengthens millions of websites. It is one of the most popular and widely used CMS that develops user-friendly and competitive websites.

Top WordPress Trends - The Five Pillars to a Strong Online Presence

Whether you want to build a blogging site, business website, or a highly complex eCommerce website, WordPress is the go-to option to fulfill all your needs. It not only offers amazing features and advantages but also the flexibility to extend the functionality to make an extremely advanced website. The top WordPress trends that hold enormous potential in 2024, as seen through our critical lens, are listed below.

1. Drag-and-drop Page Builders

WordPress page builders make it easy to create professional-looking pages quickly. They come with customizable templates, user-friendly tools, pre-built designs, animation effects, and content resizing and repositioning features. Most page builders offer real-time editing with a simple drag-and-drop interface, so even users without technical skills can create beautiful websites and landing pages. WordPress also has pre-built modules and templates that offer flexibility and customizable themes. Its built-in functions are accessible directly from the interface. Some popular WordPress page builders include Beave Builder, Divi Builder, and WPBakery Page Builder.

2. Headless CMS

A content management system without a presentation layer is called a headless CMS. This system separates the backend, where content is managed, from the frontend, where content is presented. A headless CMS enables you to manage content from one central location and deploy it on any digital platform of your choice. This separation of the frontend and backend frees up your content, making it easier for marketers to manage content independently and for developers to quickly build, automate changes, and manage digital media at scale. With a headless CMS, you can reuse content and create modern digital experiences with ease.

3. Chatbot Integration

A chatbot is an AI-powered system that can perform the functions of a human agent through a chat interface. It uses artificial intelligence to replicate human conversation, provide information, solve problems, and complete tasks. Chatbot integration involves linking the chatbot to other platforms. Deploying the chatbot with numerous platforms and applications can be a lengthy process. To engage with visitors, you can connect the chatbot with various platforms like websites, apps, WhatsApp, Telegram, Magento, Viber, WordPress, Messenger, and others. Logic Simplified enables companies to use chatbots as a customer assistance tool that provides exceptional customer service, boosts customer satisfaction, generates more leads and sales, and interacts with customers.

4. Voice Search

The global voice recognition market size is expecting a healthy growth in the coming decade, from a humble ten billion U.S. dollars in 2020 and 2021 to nearly 50 billion U.S. dollars in 2029, a CAGR growth of 23.7 percent. (Statista)

Global voice recognition market size

Optimizing WordPress websites for voice search can enhance site ranking, increase traffic, and effectively engage a global audience. Moreover, it builds user trust, enhances search engine ranking, reaches out to a wider global audience, boosts mobile traffic, and improves brand visibility.

5. WordPress 6.1 with ReactJs

ReactJS is now available as the frontend technology with WordPress as the backend platform, thanks to WordPress 6.1. ReactJS is an open-source JavaScript library used to create user interfaces, and its elements can be rapidly used, saving time and effort. WordPress prefers ReactJS because it offers greater flexibility when creating a WordPress website. It employs a virtual Document Object Model (DOM), which speeds up the upgrade process significantly over refreshing the browser DOM, and provides more freedom when creating WordPress websites.

Customer Experience Optimization: Enhancing User Journeys on Your Magento Store https://logicsimplified.com/newgames/customer-experience-optimization-enhancing-user-journeys-on-your-magento-store/ Wed, 03 Jul 2024 05:43:43 +0000 https://logicsimplified.com/newgames/?p=9433 ]]> What is Customer Experience Optimization?

A business must understand its customers and improve its holistic experience by understanding what the customers want and what it can afford to offer. Customer Experience Optimization or UX optimization ensures a business does that and increases customer satisfaction, loyalty, and advocacy.

Customer experience optimization takes into account every touchpoint of your customer's journeys, making it efficient and beneficial for customers without causing any loss to your business. This approach involves analyzing the complexities of a need and identifying specific areas to focus on, rather than using a generic approach to address everything at once.

Why Customer Experience Matters At An Online Store

A business's success relies on customer experience optimization. This is why ecommerce stores must prioritize their customers' online experience. To ensure customer satisfaction, businesses must focus on creating a website that is user-friendly, convenient, and caters to their customer's needs. A website's user experience or UX plays a crucial role in achieving this goal. A good UI UX design focuses on creating a website that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing while being optimized for mobile devices. It should also have high-quality, updated content, clear calls to action, and be fully accessible to people with disabilities.

Contrary to good UX, a poor user experience can negatively impact a company's reputation and finances. It can lead to lower search engine rankings, decreased traffic, and reduced conversions.

Content Management Systems for eCommerce: How CMS Can Benefit Businesses https://logicsimplified.com/newgames/content-management-systems-for-ecommerce-how-cms-can-benefit-businesses/ Wed, 19 Jun 2024 07:33:56 +0000 https://logicsimplified.com/newgames/?p=9410 ]]> A Content Management System helps users create, manage, and modify digital properties like apps and websites. A good website cannot be defined using a brief list of CMS features because there is so much more to it than just that. The website should be easily crawlable and show search engines what they can and can't index. It must also -

  1. Satisfy User Intent
  2. Have Technical Prowess
  3. Be Safe and Secure
  4. Hold User-focused Content
  5. Be Mobile-friendly

In the case of an ecommerce business, a user-friendly and well-functioning online store can help generate more revenue, retain more customers and increase the brand value. That's where an ecommerce content management system comes in.

Ecommerce CMS Explained

An ecommerce CMS combines a CMS's content management capabilities with an e-commerce platform's selling features, allowing businesses to create, edit, and publish content, manage products and inventory, and process orders in one place. CMS and Ecommerce combined provide you with a user-friendly interface that makes it easy to add products, edit descriptions, and update your website's design without needing to know any coding.

How CMS Can Benefit Ecommerce Businesses

CMS Analytics and Reporting Tools

The analytics and reporting tools in a content management system provide an ecommerce business with various advantages that include helping to understand target audiences and their preferences, optimizing website design and navigation to identify and fix any issues that may affect website performance, security, or functionality.

Any business would want new opportunities to discover trends and insights that can help them grow their e-commerce business and gain a competitive edge. Content management systems for eCommerce do that by allowing you to measure and improve SEO, content marketing, social media, email marketing, and other digital marketing strategies while tracking return on investment (ROI). A CMS also lets you monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), such as traffic, bounce rate, conversion rate, average order value, revenue, etc.

Product Management

An ecommerce CMS has powerful capabilities to manage products, such as adding, organizing, removing, and updating product listings, maintaining inventory, and optimizing product assortment. It comes with pre-built features such as catalog, inventory, cart, logistics/shipping management, and other necessary tools required for your online business. Efficient management of products helps businesses to sell their goods online more effectively, maintain accurate inventory levels, and adjust their product offerings according to market demand. By utilizing the product management features of a CMS, ecommerce businesses can streamline their operations, improve customer satisfaction, and boost sales.

Payment Gateway Integration

Integration of payment gateways into ecommerce CMS platforms can simplify online transactions, making it easier for websites and e-commerce platforms to process payments and facilitate transactions between businesses and customers. The most popular CMS platforms, including WordPress, Drupal, Shopify, and Magento, offer a wide range of options for payment gateway integration through dedicated plugins and extensions, enabling quick and stress-free integration.

In case you missed: The Role of CMS Plugins in Creating Accessible Websites

Integrating payment gateways into a CMS allows for a smooth and secure online transaction process, improving the user experience and enhancing customer satisfaction. This CMS integration can also help businesses to centralize and automate their transaction processes, reducing manual efforts and streamlining operations. As a result, the payment process becomes efficient, reliable, and trustworthy, resulting in higher conversion rates and increased sales. Also, the uncompromising security measures to protect sensitive customer data ensures secure transactions and builds trust.

Built-in SEO features

Generating traffic to your online store is crucial for growing your ecommerce business. Content Management Systems come equipped with features that can help you create an ecommerce website that is optimized for SEO. With these features, your target customers can easily find your website via Google search.

One of the main benefits of content management systems for ecommerce is that it allows you to manually and independently create and manage navigation links, which can help improve your website's SEO. CMS also provides website managers with manual control over the page URLs of their websites. It auto-generates titles, meta descriptions, and XML sitemaps, saving you the time and effort of manually editing these elements for every single page on your website. Additionally, CMS has built-in powerful blogging tools, so you don't have to rely on external blogging platforms to meet your needs.

Content and Brand Consistency

An effective Content Management System streamlines the process of creating content. By managing all content in one central location, a CMS simplifies content creation and ensures consistency in messaging and branding. CMS platforms facilitate collaboration among content creators, allowing for seamless cooperation from ideation to publication and increasing efficiency while avoiding bottlenecks. By establishing and storing brand rules and standards, a CMS ensures that content remains consistent across platforms and devices. This consistency improves the user experience and reinforces brand identity.

We live in an increasingly connected world where businesses know the importance of having a strong online presence to reach customers. Having an online presence gives a business increased visibility, increased trust, improved customer service, increased brand awareness, and it is also a cost-effective advertising option.

A content management system (CMS) is a collaborative software that allows you to use tools to create, modify, and manage your digital presence. It makes sure your web content is simple enough for most people to use, its workflow options allow administrators to permit particular users to serve in certain roles, and it provides a means of presenting content online, generally on a website. Among others, the most common CMS is WordPress, which was being used on more than 40 percent of all websites by 2023, according to W3Techs, 2023

WORDPRESS - THE SIMPLEST AND MOST POPULAR WAY TO CREATE WEBSITES

WordPress is an extremely versatile and powerful open-source CMS that gives website owners much-needed freedom. There are two versions of WordPress available: WordPress.com and WordPress.org. The differences between them are quite significant - WordPress.com is a popular and free option, particularly for those who are just starting to set up a basic blog or website. It is built on the WordPress SaaS platform and offers users several free themes to get started. It is considered one of the best free WordPress hosting options available. In contrast, WordPress.org empowers website owners to create self-hosted websites with their own domain names. Even though it is still open source, it provides significantly more flexibility and control over what you can create.

WORDPRESS VS OTHER CMS PLATFORMS: A COMPARISON GUIDE

This section will look at WordPress vs other CMS platforms and evaluate their features and differences in various categories, from user-friendliness and customizability to security.

01

BLOGGER CMS

WordPress is a well-known CMS that is more popular than Blogger due to the wide range of themes and plugins available for customization. It provides users with the ability to customize the look and feel of their website without the need for coding. On the other hand, Blogger is a free alternative to WordPress that has been around since 1999. It offers basic free themes that are very similar to each other. If you're looking for a decent and basic blogging platform, Blogger is a great option. It has a low learning curve, and you can begin publishing content in minutes. However, if you want advanced customization and a unique look for your site, then WordPress would be a better choice.

WordPress and Blogger are both free, but there is a difference between them. WordPress is self-hosted, which means you need to use a hosting company to use it. In contrast, since 2018, Blogger has provided unlimited storage. The amount of storage available with WordPress depends on the host company you use. Although WordPress requires more coding knowledge than Blogger, it is a popular platform with thousands of walk-throughs available for almost anything you have trouble with. Most hosting companies even offer one-click installation, making it simple to get started. Once your site is running, you can drag and drop images, text, and other content within the editor. Blogger does not have drag-and-drop functionality.

02

WIX CMS

When it comes to choosing between Wix and WordPress, both options are viable. With Wix, you will be charged a monthly fee which covers both your website and hosting. On the other hand, WordPress.org is free to use, but you need to pay a hosting company to host your website. Although Wix is user-friendly, it is not as customizable as WordPress.org.

Both Wix and WordPress offer drag-and-drop features, so you do not need any coding experience to design your website. However, if you are looking for more customization options, WordPress.org is the better choice as it allows you to freely code with HTML. While Wix does allow HTML insertion, it is not as flexible as WordPress.org.

Wix provides up to 50 GB of storage while storage capacity in WordPress.org depends on your chosen host. Both platforms offer free themes or templates, as well as plug-ins. In Wix, plug-ins are called apps. A paid Wix plan includes a free secure sockets layer (SSL) certificate and a custom domain, while WordPress.org's provisions depend on the host you choose, but most hosts typically provide these for free.

03

JOOMLA CMS

Joomla was introduced in 2005 and has been around for a similar amount of time as WordPress. However, Joomla has a different development history than WordPress and is built on a more traditional foundation. While both WordPress and Joomla are built on PHP, Joomla's users, especially developers, have more freedom to use HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. Joomla's interface, on the other hand, is quite outdated and technical, which makes tasks like module installation more complicated than WordPress. However, Joomla offers more flexibility for those with technical and website experience.

Joomla provides more advanced user management, and its modules and components allow greater flexibility in displaying non-standard content types. Multilingual support is built into Joomla's core, whereas WordPress requires a third-party plugin. Additionally, Joomla lets you use different templates for different pieces of content, which is not possible with WordPress.

04

SQUARESPACE CMS

Squarespace is a content management system that is popular for its visually appealing themes and templates. However, it is relatively expensive as it does not offer a free plan. Nevertheless, the monthly subscription includes hosting, templates, site management, and plugins.

Although Squarespace plans come with SEO tools such as sitemaps, automatic markup, SEO page titles, and clean URLs, WordPress provides users with much more control over their website's SEO than Squarespace does. WordPress offers a vast range of SEO tools through its plugins, in addition to built-in SEO tools. Yoast is a critical WordPress SEO plugin that helps enhance search engine rankings.

05

DRUPAL CMS

Drupal, which was originally launched in the year 2000, has been in existence for a longer period of time than WordPress. It is an advanced platform for Drupal web development that allows users to create highly customized websites but requires some learning. Drupal offers advanced search engine optimization features that are highly valuable. Additionally, it supports several e-commerce platforms.

WordPress is a platform that enables users to create a new website or blog quickly and with minimal programming. Although WordPress provides custom post types, many users consider Drupal's custom content types to be more versatile. While WordPress has five basic user roles for a single site, Drupal has an integrated access control system that enables users to generate new roles with individual permissions. Drupal 8 has multilingual functionality integrated into the core, whereas WordPress sites must rely on third-party plugins.

Logic Simplified is a custom WordPress development company that specializes in developing websites using content management systems. You name it, and we have a team of specialists who do it all.
